The California Assembly has approved a previously rejected bill that would lift mobile home park rent controls when a resident moves out.
The measure by Democratic Assemblyman Charles Calderon of Whittier was approved Thursday by a 41-25 vote, the bare majority needed to pass the 80-seat house. It fell three votes short of that threshold on Monday.
